Inspired by the cosmic tale of Samudra Manthan, KURMA reimagines the moment when the ocean of existence was churned to reveal the treasures of life and consciousness. At its foundation rests the tortoise, the Kurma avatar of Lord Vishnu, symbol of unwavering support, stability and the timeless patience that anchors the universe.

Seven sculptural stones rise from this base, each holding the duality of the myth’s fourteen emerging elements: struggle and revelation, poison and nectar, turmoil and awakening. Together, they form a vertical journey through which chaos is transformed into harmony and movement into meaning.

Rooted in the Samayantar Series, KURMA becomes a meditation on time’s quiet labour, a reminder that every creation requires grounding, every transformation needs balance and every ascent begins with support.
